When the cloud is the wrong door

A hosted model is someone else’s computer. Sometimes that is fine. Sometimes it is the mistake you cannot undo.

Stay on your machine when

The text is a student record, a clinical note, a client file, a case list, unpublished research, or anything you would not put in an email to a stranger.

You need the tool with the network unplugged — a clinic, a classroom, a flight, a building with a poor line.

You want to teach it your voice without sending the examples away.

A public tool is fine when

The material is already public, or you invented it for practice.

You are comparing products, not filing a record.

If you are not sure, we stay offline. Uncertainty takes the sealed door.
